DECISION TREE

Information/Event Complexity
Select the complexity of the instructions:
  •  a single instruction to reach an unchanging goal (e.g., "Turn left at the next corner.")
•  a series of two or more steps to reach an unchanging goal ( … "Now turn right at the oak tree.")
•  a series of steps to reach a changing goal (e.g., tracking a moving object)
•  a series of steps demonstrating a rare and difficult mental skill (e.g., chess master, medical diagnostician)

Note: An instruction differs from a statement in that an instruction requires knowledge of the current situation or status of the person being instructed. Therefore, each instruction in a series can only be given after the previous one has been followed.
